New York City August 6 - 8, 2010

After almost three months of living in D.C., I figured that it was about time to venture outside of it and take a break. I hurried out of the work on Friday to make the Megabus at 7:00pm. I felt like a college freshman who gets to go home for the first time since the first day in college.

I enjoyed a dollar pizza, my first White Castle burger, avocado breakfast, New York's most delicious bagel, walk by the Hudson River, outdoor concerts outside of the Lincoln Center where I stood and danced like a maniac, and Columbia with Colin and Adam. Every minute was precious, every word shared, meaningful. It was truly relaxing to be around people that I am familiar with.

I did not need an expensive concert or exclusive club to have a grand time. What matters is people that you are with, and having the best time with them with given resources. It is definitely something that I have to remember.

I came back to D.C. at 10:30pm, and got home at midnight. I am extremely exhausted, but I might use the bus to get up to NYC more often...

Mucca Pazza + the Balkan Beat Box!

This is not the first time we hung out in the city!
